Key of Behliseth cover
I’m celebrating the beginning of my new blog, and to share the joy, I’m giving away a ebook copy of Key of Behliseth, the first book of the Sunchild Chronicle, which is out September 11th from Harmony Ink Press. All you have to do to enter is leave a comment that has something to do with YA books.

I’ll be doing another giveaway on release day (9/11) when I hi-jack the Harmony Ink Press blog for a release day party. You can find the blog at Come by and chat about books, fantasy fiction, sci-fi, or whatever comes up. I’m looking forward to seeing you. I’ll be there 12:30 to 5:30 Pacific time (3:30 to 8:30 Eastern). Please join me!

Key of Behliseth Blurb

On his way to meet a fate he’d rather avoid, homeless gay teen Lucky steps through a wizard’s door and is caught up in a whirlwind quest and an ancient war. He tries to convince himself that his involvement with sword fights, magic, and interworld travel is a fluke, and that ice-breathing dragons and fire-breathing eagles don’t really exist. But with each passing hour, he remembers more about who he is and where he’s from, and with help, he begins to claim his power.

Lucky might someday rule a nation, but before he can do that, he must remember his true name, accept his destiny, and master his extraordinary abilities. Only then can he help to banish the evil that has invaded earth and find his way home—through a gateway to another world.

    • Thanks Patricia! You are my first commenter. Let’s see if you have any competition over the next few days! You are definitely entered. By the way both of those titles and authors you mentioned are among my favorites, too.

  1. I think I’ve only read one YA book but can’t remember the title right off hand. I love the description and cover of Key of Behlsith. Thank you for the chance.

  2. What a fun I have had, I have created two wordpress accounts and now finally figured it out where to comment, doh! I love reading any genre and with regards YA books I am very fond of Jay Bell’s work, the Season’s series and Kamikazi Boys, Perie Wolford (Turning 16), Brent Hartinger and John Goode to name just a few. The last few names I have just started reading and one after watching the film Geography Club (Brent Hartinger’s story) and I have some more, but just have to remember the titles and authors.

I love the cover of your book by the way and I also like books with a paranormal aspect. Thank you for a chance to win your new book

    • Sounds a bit like a merry-go-round, Sula. I get frustrated with things like that, so thanks for sticking with it. I have recently heard so many good recommendations on YA books that I’m not familiar with, and my wait list is just growing and growing! I’m glad you visited the blog and shared your thoughts!
